Our flesh and mind are still vulnerable to temptation. This can lead to “betrayals” of many kinds. Sometimes, you might even feel like Judas…a haunting awkwardness followed by the feeling that you have left Jesus and gone out into the night by yourself. Yeah, you might feel that way, but the cool thing is that Jesus hasn’t left you at all! If you have given your life to Christ and asked Him to come in, He has done just that. His Spirit now lives in your spirit. You can rest in His promise that He will never forsake you and never reject you.

In your beginning….in the beginning of your day, in the beginning of p difficult circumstances, in the beginning of your frustration, in the beginning of your fear, in the beginning of your uncertainty, will you cling to Jesus? Or will you wait leaving Him as your last resort? Will you remember that the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit have gone before you in eternity, have seen this hard circumstance in your life before you were born, and have set and lit your path ahead of you? Or will you wrongly assume that your issue is too insignificant for eternity.

Justice comes from God---we did not invent it. Thomas Jefferson knew that. He said “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just.” How much more should we tremble today. However, Biblical justice is not just about punishing the offender. It is also about making the victim whole. God instructs us to be fair---in the courts, in business, and in our dealings with each other. Thank God for His mercy. Aren’t we grateful that God forgives our sin?
