In your beginning….in the beginning of your day, in the beginning of p difficult circumstances, in the beginning of your frustration, in the beginning of your fear, in the beginning of your uncertainty, will you cling to Jesus? Or will you wait leaving Him as your last resort? Will you remember that the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit have gone before you in eternity, have seen this hard circumstance in your life before you were born, and have set and lit your path ahead of you? Or will you wrongly assume that your issue is too insignificant for eternity.

Justice comes from God---we did not invent it. Thomas Jefferson knew that. He said “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just.” How much more should we tremble today. However, Biblical justice is not just about punishing the offender. It is also about making the victim whole. God instructs us to be fair---in the courts, in business, and in our dealings with each other. Thank God for His mercy. Aren’t we grateful that God forgives our sin?

When times get hard it is tempting to forget what God has done for us in the past. We must continue to rely on him, regardless of the circumstances. He is our source of assurance and confidence. Come rest with Me, beloved. Though many tasks are calling to you, urging you to put them first, I know what you need most: To be still in My presence. Take some deep breaths, and fix your gaze on Me. As you return your attention to Me, let your concerns roll off----like water off a duck’s back. This enables you to relax and enjoy My nearness. I am never far from you!

Mediate on Scripture; search for Me in the Bible. Let these words of grace and truth soak into the depths of your soul and draw closer to Me. My Word is living and active, so it can infuse fresh life into you.
